The Cathcart Circle is a train line that runs from Glasgow Central. It makes a circle round Cathcart and two lines split of the circle heading for Newton and Neilston. Newton station is where the Cathcart Circle meets with the Argyle Line. The Neilston branch origanally continued to Ardrossan but it was shortend to Neilston only during the Beeching Axe. The stations of this line are Glasgow Central, Pollokshields Eat, Queen's Park, Crosshill, Mount Florida, Cathcart, Langside, Pollokshaws East, Shawlands, Maxwell Park and Pollokshields West. The stations on the Neilston Branch are Muirend, Willamwood, Whitecraigs, Patterton and Neilston and the stations on the Newton branch are King's Park, Croftfoot, Burnside, Kirkhill and Newton.

Normally ((Relivery/Overhaul 2011-12)) do this route but ocasionally you do see Class 334 and Class 318 as well. In 2010 it was planned that Class 320 would replace the 314's on this route but in June 2009 it was revealed that the 314's would stay on till 2015 for the Commonwealth games.
On football days at Hampden a extra train goes from Glasgow Central to Mount Florida. Also if there is any problem on the Neilston branch, trains can terminate at Muirend because there is a crossrail there. Its the same with the Newton branch and Kings Park station.
