Description:: 800002 leads classmate 800001 on 5X06 the Hitatchi Test train from Edinburgh to Doncaster on Thursday 7th September. This was the first IEP to make Edinburgh. The earlier test train 2 days before being turned back at Tyne Yard. On the return journey there was OHL damage at Dunbar and it was necessary to pass this using the trains diesel engines.
