Description:: In the run up to the inauguration of the West Coast Main Line electrification between Crewe and Glasgow in May 1974,training runs for drivers ran between Paisley and Ladyburn and Paisley and Wemyss Bay from 1973. This is one of the return runs from Ladyburn with an assortment of freight vehicles (trucks!!!) at Port Glasgow on a June day. The loco is E3008,pre-renumbering days.
