- BR diesel shunter D3904 later Class 08 was pilot at Buchanan Street for years until the station closed. This was taken in the early 1960s as it prepared to remove the Bilsland bread van from the back of the 1.30pm from Aberdeen and place it in the No6 dock platform for reloading for the 11pm that night. All this now of course is swallowed up under the Glasgow Caledonian University.
