Ayrshire Coast line
The Ayrshire Coast Line links Glasgow to the towns of the Ayrshire Coast. It has three branches terminating at Largs, Ardrossan Harbour and Ayr
Starting from Glasgow Central the line shares its tracks with the Inverclyde Line but only as far as Paisley Gilmour Street, At Arkleston Junction (Paisley), the tacks diverge and the Ayryshire Coast route heads southwards. At Kilwinning the lines divirge again, the Ayr line continues south, but the Coastal branch swings west to serve Ardrossan and Largs. After Kilwinning the line continues as far as Ardrossan South beach where the Ardrossan Harbour branch swings off to the left just after the station. The Largs branch continues Northwards to Largs.
After Kilwinning the Ayr branch continues Southwards and serves Prestwick Airport on its way to Ayr.
Services on the line are operated mainly by class 334s but class 318s are regular sight.
