Dining Car No. 2 is the oldest vehicle in the current Royal Scotsman luxury tour train. It was built by the LNER in 1945 as a Thompson design First Corridor, No 1513, and later converted in to an inspection saloon, DE902260. In the early 1980s (numbered as Sc1999) it was named 'Lochaber' and used on Fort William - Mallaig trains. It was converted into its present use in 1990. Photographed at Stirling 21 July 2001
