Remaining lifespan


ScotRail have announced that they intend to decarbonise their fleet, with full removal of the current diesel fleet by 2035. No date is currently available for the withdrawal of these or other units currently in the ScotRail fleet and is dependant on sufficient replacement stock being procured.

The return of unit 739


158739 has been at Kilmarnock Bonnyton Depot for the past couple of months. It has received new engines, repaint, interior refresh and other repairs.
It returned to Corkerhill on 5Z58, on 26/02/24.
